Betonite clay - A volcanic mineral clay capable of deeply cleaning facial pores and reducing the appearance of blemishes. The constriction of pores aids in forcing impurities and toxins out of the skin, while also serving as an antibacterial agent. When bentonie is activated with water it becomes a highly porous sponge, drawing impurities from the skin. It also reduces skin irriration and becomes charged in water, making it capable of binding heavy metal toxins from the skin surface.
Blackcurrant seed oil - A highly effective active designed to reduce inflammation, regenerate damaged and ageing skin, and protects the skin barrier from environmental aggression.
Niacinamide - Boosts skin immunity and increases the production of the skin's natural ceramides in the stratum corneum, which protects the skin from moisture loss (TEWL). Niacinamide assists in regulating excess oil production and minimising inflammation. It boosts hydration and helps to reduce hyperpigmentation (and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation associated with breakouts) by preventing melanin transfer from the melanocyte to the keratinocyte.
