Key Ingredients:

• Niacinamide - Stimulates the production of epidermal and dermal proteins to rebuild and fortify the skin’s barrier function, thereby minimising inflammation and sensitivity. It prevents melanin transfer from the melanocyte to the keratinocytes, impacting the brightening of the skin. In a recent clinical study of 120 women over 28 days, there was a significant reduction of sunspots and hyperpigmentation. Unlike ingredients such as hydroquinone, vitamin B can be used over large areas for extended periods without the risk of toxicity. Clinical studies have also shown that niacinamide increases the production of the skin’s natural ceramides in the stratum corneum. Ceramides lubricate and protect the skin from moisture loss (TEWL).

• Canadian willowherb - A multifunctional key ingredient containing the bioactive molecule oenothein B, an antioxidant that can induce the production of interlukin-1 and other cytokines. Its anti-irritant and redness reduction properties have been clinically demonstrated, showing a strong reduction of skin redness induced by chemicals or UV exposure within 30 minutes of use. In vitro experiments have demonstrated free radical scavenging abilities along with strong antioxidant and antibacterial properties.
