Key Ingredients:
• Lactic acid (AHA) - A natural and biocompatible exfoliant with a larger molecular weight than glycolic acid and a lower irritancy profile. Ideal for those with slightly sensitive, dry, or allergy-prone skin, it effectively removes epidermal dead skin cells responsible for congestion, rough texture and a dull complexion. Lactic acid is a natural humectant that draws and holds water in the upper layers of the skin. At 5% and above, it has also shown to possess tyrosinase inhibiting abilities, therefore making it ideal for treating hyperpigmentation.
• Mandelic acid (AHA) - Extracted from bitter almonds, this intelligent AHA can selectively target areas of concern. It acts as an exfoliant for improving surface texture, it also sends a feedback message to the fibroblasts in the dermis to produce more collagen and hyaluronic acid. This acid loves oil and penetrates the pores rapidly to remove trapped dead cells, and regulate excess production of oil, minimising pore size and reducing T-zone shine. It also has potent antibacterial properties and selectively targets bad bacteria making it an ideal acid for improving acne.
• Salicylic acid (BHA) - A beta hydroxy acid (BHA) obtained from white willow bark. This BHA works on the uppermost layer of the skin and within the pores. It is excellent for acne sufferers as it can exfoliate and remove dead cells and debris trapped in pores. It is also effective for individuals with rosacea, psoriasis and folliculitis due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It possesses antibacterial, antifungal and exfoliating properties.
• Malic acid (AHA) - Malic acid is an AHA found in apples and has unique antioxidant properties that other AHAs don't have. Malic acid also offers hydrating properties and leaves a protective, moisturising layer on the skin.
